Door drama

The fixer-uppering continues. We decided it was time for a new garage door. The old one was such an eyesore and considering how it precedes our house visually, it was just dragging the rest of the house down, especially with the new concrete. It was the 5th person on a double date. It was the wrong accessory on a chic outfit. It was that weird old sleazy guy at the trendy bar. It was the piece of cork floating in a glass of merlot.
So after much drama, we have ourselves a new garage door, waiting for us to dress it up with a fresh coat of paint. Which might not happen until we decide on colors for the rest of the house exterior. Which might not happen until next summer. It's fortunate that I like white =)

I know what you mean. We've been here for exactly a year now. We're calling the new door an anniversary gift to the house, LOL!

  4. It's a beaut, I love windowed garage doors. I really like the shingles at the top of your roof line.

We have a mutual friend, kind of. My "work husband's" good friend knows you. That's all I know :)

  6. Good choice, very pretty! And I agree with the pp, love the shingles, unique touch. I imagine a grey for the house, white trim, white door and honey/natural for the shingles....but that really isn't a surprise.

  9. I love all of your analogies, he he.

Love the door! I had a problem with my garage door over the summer and initially the repair dude wasn't sure it could be fixed (thankfully, it was.) So I looked at replacements and I was amazed at all of the great styles out there. Unfortunately we live in a condo that dictates the style of the door, so we couldn't actually get one of those great replacements. But still, it's nice to know there are options for when J builds me my mini-mansion dream house, lol.
