Power of potential

Never underestimate the power of potential. Whether these derelict "before" chairs/sofas were made over professionally or personally by the blogger, the results are jaw-dropping.

Hope you enjoy some of my favorites and find them as inspiring as I do!

  1. I love chair makeovers- they are the easiest to do and make such a difference. I just posted about my own last week, I love how it turned out that I'm looking for my next project now.

    Great collection of pics here!

  5. Nice, I wish reupholstering was a skill I had. I love the chair with detail on the back and Teresa's couch. I just found a roadside pedestal table set (http://leedawn82.blogspot.com/2009/06/schools-out-for-summer-now-my-real-life.html)
I'm still deciding what to do with it.

  15. Oh so pretty. I love this post. I wish I was better with my uphosltery skills. I 've never actually tried, but I don't think I would be too hot at it. I've been eyeing two chairs at the local thrift shop, but they need a lot of work. You're post has me itching to go back and pick them up!

I love when someone takes an old piece of furniture and makes it look stunning like that! Re-born furniture is so cool!

I have a very old Duncan Fife (sp) sofa that my late grandmother gave to me. It's in my office. I love it and think it's so special to have a piece like that in my house. You can see the legs of it in most of my Anna pics (since we're always in the office). :)
