You know you're obsessed with home decor when your eyes completely ignore the J Crew model's outfit and zero in on the marvelous tufted pink settee behind her instead. Am I the only one?

On a side note, a heartfelt thank you to everyone who offered words of support and loyalty on my recent "underwater" post. I did not mean to come off sounding so "woe is me" nor was I fishing for pity. Honestly, besides the lack of sleep, should I be complaining? No! We're healthy and our lives are full (if I ever feel it's too full somebody please slap me silly).

And I do not plan on retiring this blog; the thought was very fleeting and was not entertained seriously. I would honestly miss you all immensely. I'm constantly inspired by you (whether it be design, humor or life in general), and my life is richer for it. Hello Sappy McSap, party of one. I must totally be PMSing.

So I'm not breaking up with my blog. My posting may be more sporadic but I do think some "breathing room" is the perfect remedy for blog fatigue. It's how I self-medicate, er, myself. Rejuvenation, here I come. =]

  1. What? You ignored the hot pink ankle socks? Have you no taste?!? Haha. My grandmom has a piece of furniture that is almost an exact match for that one, however it's light blue, which I kinda like more and can't wait to get my grubby little hands on...

Oh and thanks for not quitting. Quitters never win.

  3. Lol. I love the gathered cardigan. But the pink socks are atrocious. I guess I'm not a true decor aficionado if I couldn't get past the pink socks to appreciate the settee. Glad you're still here, lovah.

  9. Even before I read your first sentence, I was eyeing the decor in the room, not her! How funny!

Glad you're not breaking up with your blog, and your blog stalkers! I enjoy it ever so much!

  10. Is it just me or does the model look like a giant in this room?

  11. Thank God you addressed this. I've been truly considering buying a VW van and driving to Colorado to get more Freckles in my life.

  15. I am with you, my eye almost always goes to the decor of the room rather than the gal... or guy or... guy dressed like a gal (have you seen those marc jacobs ads). Glad to hear your not going anywhere.

  16. Thank goodness you're not quitting. Found your blog just a few weeks ago and have been completely addicted and not to mention have turned myself into a lurker/stalker, obsessively checking if you've updated and got a lil' scared that there was some mention of retirement blogging (although I was in complete denial that you'd even have a fleeting thought of retirement).

Take your break, self-medicate, etc, I don't care as long as you're going to be going back for more blogging.

    Sincerely,

Another Asian Stalker (correction: a fan)

  17. Here are ideas for tile mural installations , tips on framing the tiles and using field tiles to coordinate with the mural.. Considering the use of found vintage labels and a great way to showcase retro art.

  18. I inherited a tufted back chair with our new house, and even though I hate the caning on it, the back and the lines of the chair are absolutely beautiful. Hmm, maybe I could somehow remove the caning?
