Basement reno: mirror, mirror (soon to be) on the wall

We can check one more element for the basement reno off our list: the bathroom mirror.  During a stop at Lowe's to peruse their bathtub offerings, I decided to be the helpful wife by leaving Mr. FC to fend for himself.  I'm like a bird; just show me a pretty shiny anything and I'll hop after you in an instant.  I can't tell you how many times we've gotten separated in stores because I've wandered off and Mr. FC has to text "WHERE ARE YOU?!".

This gorgeous mirror (the only one left) was propped precariously against the wall at the end of the aisle, forgotten and forlorn.

Me: This is perfect! Is it too girly for you?
Mr. FC: (bit wary) A little......
Me: It's only $23, orginally $90.......
Mr. FC: Sold.

Beveled edges & pewter rivets......hello, darlings.
(Reminds me of the gorgeous mirrors I've always coveted from my friend Joi's bathroom!)

Hope you had a lovely weekend =]

  9. It's amazing how quickly those men will throw the It's not quite masculine enough card out the window when cost savings comes into play. Thanks for reminding me of this really useful trick...find cheap pretty things and Mr. B will like them.

It looks fabulous, I love how glam it is. Cannot wait to see it up in the bathroom!!!

  10. Love that mirror! If I had any space in my home for another one, I'd already be running over to Lowe's.

  11. Wait? $60 off the original price? Was there anything wrong with it? I love it!

  12. Oh my...LOVE IT!!! If I had that mirror in our home...I would constantly be mesmerized by it. Granted everyone would think I am vain, but it would be more of lust for an inanimate object.

    Cheers~

I'm a longtime lurker and first time commenter I was kind of worried that the boulder fire had made you homeless... Glad to see that isn't the case!

I wish I could find mirrors like that at my Lowes on clearance ;)

  26. Lucky {freckles} Chick! I have been looking for a similar mirror for my living room but can't seem to part with 150 smackeroos. Maybe I need to drive over to my local lowes. I just bought a floor model washer that was priced originally $560 but snatched it for $200

  31. Gorgeous mirror but took note that it ended unfortunately up having a flaw and you couldn't use it. For those interested though, Restoration has very similar (but pricing is a little high ) whereas if you live in Canada, I ended up finding mine at Home Sense (July 9/2015). Size 36" H x 24" wide (ideal for over a 36" vanity) @ $99.00 Cdn. funds. It is extremely good quality and made by the same manufacture. The beading is actually two-toned in a silver and antique gold finish and if using in a bathroom IMO would work with faucets and/or cabinet hardware in either chrome, polished nickel or any gold finish. -Brenda-
P.S: Also noticed in same month; Overstock.com is offering a similar one as well but in a different sizing.
