This room turns me on

I could marry this room, I love it that much.
It's actor/comedian Joel McHale's living room featured in the Dec 2010 InStyle (read more about it here), which I read beachside during our trip.  I think I shouted "YES!" to noone in particular, tore out the page, sandwiched it between my cardigans for the trip home--surprised it survived-- and scanned it upon unpacking my suitcase.

As Sara would say: Amazeballs!
Amazeballs indeed.

Even if you don't love it, I'm going to tell you why I love it.
You know, because I love making everything about me. Only half joking.

Happy New Year's Eve/New Year, my friends! Here's to celebrating new beginnings!
If I can manage to stay up until midnight, that's cause for celebration in itself.
I know, right? I don't just aim high, I aim for the stars.

  1. That is definitely a great room. And the fact that it is Joel McHale's makes it even better in my opinion. I looove the tiles on the fireplace.

  2. FC!! If there was ever an example of 'amazeballs', this is it!! You've got such good taste. Did you see Black Swan? 'Cause I will be Lily to your Nina. Or, maybe you should be Lily? I dunno. Whatever, let's makeout!

  5. I love this room. Not everything, the coral certainly would not work in our home. But I'm planning to paint our house 5 different shades of grey (and no, it won't be depressing like my baby brother assumes), and I love mixing gold, silver, brass, and bronze. You just have to be intentional about it. Thanks for sharing, I'm saving for inspiration!

  6. Thank you for deconstructing this room! At first I was all.. meh... about it. Except for the Zebra rug, which, of course, I love. But you're right, gold goes so nicely with the gray! And the marble tile in the herringbone pattern... I'd never have noticed it, but I LOVE it. You are amazeballs, FC. :)
