This room is probably never going to look this way ever again (yes, I most definitely did hide the diaper pail & the trash can for these photos) so without further adieu, here is Baby P's nursery.
I hope you love it as much as I do.
If not, well....it doesn't take much to make me cry these days. HA!

A favorite poem (I Carry Your Heart With Me by E.E. Cummings) that I've been reading aloud to the Peanut.

A soft, plush friend from our dear neighbors/friends Heather & Jesse.

otherwise a certain baby boy will have to deal with a very girly room for a while.
OK, it's back to drinking raspberry leaf tea, taking evening primrose capsules, & possibly an acupuncture appointment for me to hopefully naturally encourage this little lady to make her debut.
We can't wait to meet her.

Was mini-Hiro a gift? Any ideas where it was purchased?! I love it and my future children need mini versions of my furbabies :)
I just came across your blog and have to compliment on you on creating such a beautiful, thoughtful, and happy room. I too LOVED creating our nursery and truly appreciate a put together room with all the right details. Well done!
This is so cute and sweet and perfect, great job thanks for sharing!!
@ Adrienne: I got Mini Hiro from Amazon! He's actually a beanie baby version of Bo the Presidential dog, LOL!! But his resemblance to Hiro is uncanny. I found him just by entering a breed + stuffed animal in the Amazon search box & voila. Hope this helps!
This is a beautiful and peaceful space! I'm sure your peanut will love it.
Do you know why I LOVE this room? Because it's gorgeous and perfect but not overly nursery-ish. Fabulous job, FC. That's going to be one classy Peanut.
I remember all too well what it feels like to pass your due date... It's what happened to me just 4.75 months ago. She'll come out when she's ready.
In the meantime, your nursery is perfect! Just perfect! I love all the details and I just the what it has all come together!
Good job Mama!
such a beautiful room! clearly you put a lot of thought and love in to this room. i really like the colors, that poof is great!
Great Job!! So adorable - every little detail is just perfect.
::dead::
And the knit pouf?? ::dead again::
Amazing!!
I love what you've done with this nursery! And seriously...why don't you live closer?
Little Miss isn't due for another few weeks (thank God), and her nursery is a jumble (she's sleeping next to the bed for a few months so I'm in no rush) except we have the crib built and the dresser set up for me to paint this weekend. This is definitely giving me inspiration.
Did you simply type up the Carry Your Heart print? If not, I'd love to know where you found it! The type is beautiful and it's a poem G and I recite a lot.
Such a pretty room! :)
What a sweet, darling room for a sweet, darling baby!! I have a baby girl (2 weeks old) and it is the best, ever. Love everything about the nursery, especially the raspberry accents! And I have the same pouf, love it :) Good luck and hope baby comes soon!!
Such a beautiful space!!! Thinking of you and your baby's girls arrival! She is going to be so adorable, just like her Momma!!
such a sweet room, i love how you created such beauty with a very calming color palette. Very nice!
It looks fantastic! I have such baby girl jealousy. I tried to sneak in some pretty girly accents into our nursery, but JEGs caught me and put the kibosh. Whomp whomp.
Do I spy a Q hanging up? Are we naming the baby Quinn? I'm super interested.
Any day now!

WOW - This is a perfect room. There is so much to comment on that I'm just going to sum it all up by saying I LOVE IT! Good luck!
LOVE!!!! What a perfect room for a perfect family. Been thinking about you this morning and wondering how you have been doing. Hang in there. Your life is about to get a heck of a lot crazier (in so many great ways). Miss you. We'll get together soon.
I love your nursery! It is so beautiful, peaceful and sweet. I'm sure you and your daughter will love spending time in there. Congratulations and good luck!
It's amazing! So much eye candy! I love all the touches of gold and pink. And it's just so darn classy. This little girl will have the best room on the block. (Really, I looked in all the windows on the rest of the block on the last drive-by.)
It is just beautiful! I love those cutie animal prints in the gold frames and the hardware on the dresser is awesome. Now all it needs is your little girl to complete it!
...I am seriously at a loss for words. This room is exquisite! Honestly. What a beautiful space. Take care :)
Wow, it turned out great! What a pretty nursery. I'm sure baby FC is going to absolutely love the room her mama created for her. Sending loads of baby dust your way!
Aww, it turned out beautiful! I think the peanut will be quite happy with her surroundings!
THANK YOU EVERYONE for taking the time to leave such sweet comments!! I can't express how much I appreciate your kindness. I heart you all.
@ Jill: Thank you so much for the words of encouragement! I have to keep telling myself that: she'll come out when she's ready. =]
@ Kristal: LOL, you're hilarious! Thank you, K!
@ Elisa: Oh my gosh, congrats on your beautiful baby girl!! I'm over the moon for your happy family! (I adore that CB2 pouf too!!)
@ LB: You crack me up! I give you points for trying. I caught Mr. FC trying to sneak a little boy's onesie into her closet. HA!
* Her first name IS Quinn, good catch. We didn't see a point in keeping it a secret but are mostly only telling people if they ask. =]
@ Kate: If we lived closer I'd be over at your place every day devouring your culinary creations. You'd never get rid of me. It could get awkward, ha!
For the poem, I did just type it up & tweaked some of the pentameter (felt a little bad for doing that since that sort of defined Cummings' work!). I used the font "Jane Austen" that I downloaded free from here:
http://www.dafont.com/jane-austen.font
The last line of the poem, I used "Scriptina":

I read how much this poem means to you on your blog not too long ago & it brought tears to my eyes. Best wishes in the weeks ahead to you & the Little Miss!!
BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!It's really gorgeous FC! Can't wait to meet the little one (via online) of course, lol!!!
This nursery is the picture of serenity. Well done, FC! Its such a beautiful room. And Quinn is at the top of my list for girl's names whenever we have another one - great name :)
Wishing you a speedy and safe delivery!
Aw, I love all the beautiful details!
The only thing more precious will be seeing a picture of your little one in her lovely space. :) I can't wait to see how magical this room becomes for you both.
Cheers~

I just want to crawl into that crib and claim the whole room as MINE! hehe! It's just so lovely, and adorable and chic and I just don't have enough words to describe the beauty of this space. I can tell your whole heart and soul when into designi g this space.
I'm especially loving the window fabric and the acrylic shelves and he poem is precious.
Q's closet is so amazing! :)
I forgot to add: OMG where did you find the Hiro stuffed animal. It's PERFECT!
And, sorry for the typos above, I just got too excited.
It's soooo pretty!! Love love love! So serene and sweet and perfect! Awww, can't wait to see that little babe in her sweet room!
WOW!!!!!!!! Your nursery looks amazing and so chic! You really need to think about a career in interior design! Your taste is impeccable! BTW... my favorite item in the nursery is...that sweet little stuffed animal that resembles your dog. :)
Molly

Rhonda @home.made.
You did an amazing job with this room. It's absolutely beautiful
What a gorgeous nursery!!! I could definitely find some rest in a space like that :) I love the baby animal prints - we have the baby giraffe ones above our changing table too!
So adorable! Q's room turned out perfect. Can't wait for her online introduction :)
You've created a beautiful peaceful soft and comfortable haven for your precious little girl. I love the details ~ every nook is so sweet. Love it. :)
Hey momma! This room is just so fabulous. It is perfectly serene and classic. I love, love, love it! I am so excited for you and your little one...wondering if she's here now! : )
Love you, dear!
I'm a new reader over from Centsational Girl... loving this reveal! The nursery is so calm and sophisticated. LOVE it. :)
Beeeeeeautiful! my baby nursery is coming along, but boy this is great motivation! :)
Meggy from Chasing Davies
I came over from Centsational girl to watch your pretty nursery, and I totally love it, especially the grey pouf, did you make it yourself ? and would you like to tell us how ?
Greetz and hope your little girl arrives very soon now.
Just beautiful! I can't decide which I like more... the crib, the gold framed Sharon Montrose prints, the bookshelf, the booties...! : ) Just gorgeous. Congratulations!
This room is so sweet and special I actually teared up. Can I truly like you so much without 'knowing' you that I'm this happy for you?! I can almost smell the room, and smell her precious head (baby heads are intoxicating, btw). I think she wants to share a bday with her auntie sugarplum...but I hope for you sake she doesn't wait until the 12th. But either way, she's a screamin scorpio!! you can consult me as she grows, I understand our indecisive complex minds. ;)
Please tweet when you go into labor so we can send you good mojo! Enjoy the full experience...nothing compares to the birth of your first child. Why do I always leave the longest possible comments on your blog?!?!?!?
This room is gorgeous! I'm in love with that ottoman! Every inch is just perfect for your sweet girl! If she's still not here - get a foot massage - that can help naturally induce labor. I literally gasped at the patagonia booties ;) Too cute for words!
Thank you so very much for your kind words & supportive well wishes. They all mean the world to us! =]
@ Suzie: Crawl on in, girl! You could easily fit in her crib, HA!
@ Jesse: I LOVE that book to pieces. I always get it for my friends who are new moms but somehow slipped my mind (prego hormones?). Thx so much for the reminder, J!
@ Renee: LOL! I wish she had arrived on 11/5! But nope, still prego. =]
@ Cathy: Sadly I didn't make the pouf myself--I wish I had those skills! The knitted pouf is from CB2(I've provided a link in my source list at the bottom of the post).
Also, a warm welcome to all of you who hopped over from Centsational Girl's BOTB feaure of our nursery!! =]
I found your blog from another one and I am just gaga over your space! You are very talented, and I am for sure becoming a new follower for all the latest! Thanks!
Hello, I've just started blogging so I am looking for other blogs to follow. I ran into yours and had to follow. I had a baby last summer and in her room I have... the same crib, same wall decal, same frame from an old mirror, and same, "I carry your heart saying..." Creepy. Good luck w new baby. It will be CRAZY in the beginning but worth it!
@ Crazy Momma Amanda: LOL! A little creepy, yes. Great minds think alike! =] Thank you for your well wishes!!
what a gorgeous space!
OMG, now I am wondering if Q's bday will be on 11/11/11.
Hurry up, baby!
jbhat
@ jbhat: HAHA!!!! You & me both! Best.Bday.Ever. We shall see. Thx for thinking of us. =]
(BTW, thx for always leaving such sweet/funny comments on my posts. Love ya, jb!)
Oh my gosh, I love it!! You did such a fantastic job! And those baby animal prints are TOO cute! You should definitely consider submitting this to ohdeedoh if you haven't already! Well done. :)
Baby today? Good luck, doll! The nursery looks beautiful and she's going to be a lucky girl.
O Baby Where Art Thou?

Singing "baby baby don't get hooked on me".... Ok baby HAS TO be here by now!!! Hang in there (11/16).
Gorgeous nursery! Which change pad cover is this? Is it white, or cream?
Over from Cassie's blog...ADORE your nursery...so fun and whimsical and so many thoughtful details!! Definitely bookmarking for the future! :)
@ Sarah: Our changing pad cover is the cream one!
